Students take part in Nursing Insight Week 2018
This month, students had the opportunity to prove they are the future generation by taking part first hand working side-by-side with nurses throughout different departments in the hospital.
Students were able to work closely with nurses in the Interventional Radiology, Theaters, Dermatology, Cardiac unit, Older Persons Units and Paediatrics in Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Here is what some of the students from the Insight Week thought:
“The Work experience week was very rewarding and interesting. It was really helpful seeing what happens on a ward beyond the eyes of a patient. I would definitely recommend it and thank you very much for the opportunity.”
“Having this opportunity to do this work experience has opened my eyes to what Nurses do and the attention and care they give to their patients. They treat everyone the same and have the same respect for all of them. This has made me more dedicated to becoming a Nurse.”
“It was definitely an experience! Such a great opportunity to have after so many months of searching. Great hospitality is the key; and the Nurses at each ward definitely used that key during my experience. I absolutely loved every bit of the experience, from taking blood tests to applying moisturiser on patients…Very insightful.”
